Cole’s 100 Premier PartyCole's downtown Los Angeles
A Classic Cocktails Soiree Benefiting the
Los Angeles Conservancy

Thursday, December 4
6:30 - 9:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Cole’s, Sixth and Main Streets, Downtown Los Angeles

Tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:30 p.m.

Celebrate the re-opening of a legendary restaurant while supporting preservation in Los Angeles!

213, a driving force in L.A.’s urban revival, will host a private fundraiser Thursday evening, December 4, benefiting the Conservancy. The event jumpstarts the weekend festivities commemorating Cole’s grand reopening after a year-long, $1.6 million restoration, as well as the 100-year anniversary of the inventors of the famed French Dip sandwich.

Cole'sThe Cole’s 100 Premier Party will feature classic cocktails, French dips, live jazz, and a specially created performance by the City Ballet of Los Angeles bringing Cole’s history to life in three vignettes.  Choreographed by Artistic Director Robyn Gardenhire, the city’s oldest public house and its storied past will be celebrated through the art of music and dance. Sloan Robinson, currently on tour in her one-woman tribute to Josephine Baker, will narrate.

The performance piece was commissioned to honor the Los Angeles Conservancy’s thirty-year legacy, and to commemorate the resurgence of Cole’s, a cherished Los Angeles landmark, and its 100-year anniversary.

Festivities will commence early evening and continue throughout the evening, unfolding in two parts:

6:30 - 9:30 p.m. ($50 per person): Classic cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a one-of-a-kind performance by the City Ballet of Los Angeles depicting the hundred-year history of Cole’s

9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. ($25 per person): Food, drinks, and DJs (those arriving before 9:30 are welcome to stay the entire evening)

Dress the Part!
Cole’s was one of L.A.’s most popular pre-prohibition bars and host to a diverse collection of the city’s most celebrated citizens including notorious gangster, and Cole’s regular, Mickey Cohen. In homage, we encourage you to dress in attire inspired by the 1920s—a fashion era characterized by silent film stars, flappers, and gangsters and their molls.

With the rebirth of Cole’s, 213’s sixth downtown venture since 2003, the nightlife entertainment company continues to revive neglected historic buildings into trendsetting bars and restaurants integral to the social fabric of downtown Los Angeles.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Los Angeles Conservancy’s efforts to protect and revitalize the historic places—like Cole’s—that make Los Angeles unique.

Hope to see you there!

Subway Terminal Building
Subway Terminal Building
417 S. Hill Street, Downtown

Built in 1925, the 500,000 square-foot Subway Terminal Building served as the eastern terminus of the Hollywood Subway for nearly thirty years. The underground segment of the Red Car system ran from this building to the nearby Belmont Tunnel until the Red Cars stopped running in 1955. After decades of underuse, the building was converted into 277 luxury apartments and renamed Metro 417. It now stands as a vibrant element in the renaissance of downtown Los Angeles, and its adaptive reuse earned a Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award in 2006.
